What we Did
When my clients first bought the house, it was more for the property than the house itself. Over time we've remodeled nearly the entire house. Every time we finish one area, the clients have plans to do more. The kitchen was originally a small, dark room. We opened up the space by removing the ceiling and walls so that the flow from kitchen to living room was easy and natural. A huge, ugly, faux rock fireplace dominated the living room on one side and the kitchen on the other. I refined that by facing it with black granite. We added color and vibrance to individual walls. They love the house now and our next project is the exterior. I can't wait, and neither can they.
What we Did
I took what had been a galley kitchen and made it a U shape, providing much more counter space, cupboards, and moving the sink into the open area by the left side of the U which at the same time freed whomever was at the sink, from a lifetime of looking at the wall as they worked.
What we Did
In addition to remodeling most of the interior, we replaced all the windows, added stonework to the lower exterior, extended the roofline so that the porch had an overhang, added stone planters to the driveway and entry, and built a mini pergola onto the side of the garage.
